BruinX Dashboards separately display data for Non-Academic and Academic Staff (i.e., Academic Personnel) because non-academic and academic employees are governed under unique sets of policies and practices within the UC system. Chancellors, Vice Chancellors, and Vice Provosts are counted as Non-Academic Staff in the Senior Management Group. Deans and Department Chairs, on the other hand, are counted as Academic Staff, along with faculty, researchers, librarians, and other academic employees.
Data Sources: PSS and MSP data were generated using the UCLA Workforce Report, which is prepared by the Office of Academic Planning and Budget; SMG data were generated using data provided by the Academic Personnel Office.
