PEN America, a nonprofit organization working to defend and celebrate free expression in the United States and worldwide, recently published their Campus Free Speech Guide. The Guide highlights EDI resources on free speech and provides practical, principled guidance for how campuses can best remain open to all voices.

UCOP Shares Revised Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Policy and Implementing Procedures
On July 31, 2019, UC President Janet Napolitano shared new versions of the following policies and procedures: 1) Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment (SVSH) Policy, 2) PACAOS Appendix E: SVSH Student Investigation and Adjudication Framework, 3) SVSH Investigation and Adjudication Framework for Senate and Non-Senate Faculty, and 4) SVSH Investigation and Adjudication Framework for Staff and Non-Faculty Academic Personnel.
UCLA Launches New Website: “Supporting Nursing Mothers at UCLA”
UCLA Campus Human Resources announced the launch of a new website, “Supporting Nursing Mothers at UCLA”. The site features information pertinent to nursing mothers, including personnel policies, benefits, forms, campus and community resources, frequently asked questions, and the most current campus lactation map.
