Gold Shield Gifts $20,000 to BEST Grant Program
Gold Shield Alumnae of UCLA is providing $20,000 in funding to help support the new Bruin Excellence & Student Transformation Grant Program (BEST), an innovative grassroots initiative led by a team of UCLA graduate students to provide grants for transformative, student-centered projects that improve campus climate. Gold Shield’s generous commitment constitutes the first gift that BEST has received from an alumni organization.
VC Kang announces launch of the EDI Student Advisory Board
Vice Chancellor Kang announces the framework for the inaugural Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Student Advisory Board. All applications are due on June 10, 2016. Board selections will be announced by the end of the beginning of the Fall Quarter.
